As a Supply Chain Analyst, your essential job functions will include the following:
General Logistics Team
- Support all Supply Chain teams in the development of essential information used to manage various aspects of supply chain operations
- Manage existing reporting and analysis tools according to existing expectations
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing reporting or analysis tools and utilizes continuous improvement methods to execute
- Proactively work with individual customers within the Supply Chain group or cross-functional teams to develop robust reporting and analysis tools according to clearly defined project scopes
- Develop fact based analyses involving thoroughly vetted data from verified sources
- Identifies problems with reporting or analysis tools, create detailed documentation of issues, and request support in resolving difficulties in a timely manner
- Partner with other analysts to ensure best practices and optimal strategies are utilized to develop reports and analyses
- Initiate dialogue regarding project statuses with Supply Chain customers, manager and other analysts
Supply Chain Support
- Develop essential knowledge about the key business elements in the organization’s distribution and transportation networks.
- Identify and understand the relationships between key performance indicators (i.e. safety, quality, people, delivery and cost)
- Create reporting and analysis tools that meet customer (Supply Chain) expectations, highlight trends and serve as a means for benchmarking performance from industry, network or regional perspectives
- Recommend opportunities for improvement and readily provide critical, detailed data to support recommendations
- Publish all periodic reports or analyses according to established guidelines
- Evaluate shifts in performance patterns and understand the impact on costs, productivity, quality, process control and external customer expectations
- Provide indicative commentary for published reports and analysis to create an awareness of the narrative the data presents
- Review and validate data/information inputs and outputs for accuracy, relevance, and general suitability, and make adjustments and corrections to ensure quality.
- Champion the information flow between internal staff and distribution network involving all relative Supply Chain data
- Create sustainable reporting and analysis solutions to support the company’s supply chain initiatives
Business Planning Process and Strategic Planning
- Research and analyze future business priorities including developing alternative strategies and recommendations
- Support initiatives to design and implement models used to project financial and operational performance of supply chain network
- Make independent analysis of budgeting assumptions and past performance and assist with the gathering of information for annual budgeting process
- Develop projections and make recommendations based on financial and operational analyses
- Prepare summaries and suggest alternative strategies for various levels of leadership within Supply Chain
- Prepare reports for internal customers and represent the Supply Chain in cross-functional teams in a staff or leadership role.
Business Analysis and Results
- Develop tools that summarize and track key performance indicators on daily, monthly quarterly and annual basis, where applicable
Report Writing
- Provide report writing activities as needed from various databases
- Demonstrate proficiency and be able to gather and analyze significant amounts of data, utilizing Excel, Access and OBIEE Analytics and other programming tools as needed
Other Duties as Assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or other analytical field
- 3 years minimum experience performing true analytical functions, preferably in a supply chain environment
- Intermediate to advanced skills using both Excel and Excel VBA and Access query language required
- Ability to develop and maintain complex data bases
- Strong analytical ability, including the ability to gather, analyze and evaluate information and to translate concepts into financial / operational models
- Possess basic knowledge and understanding of business and finance/accounting
- Excellent interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills with ability to succeed in a cross functional working environment

Physical Job Requirements
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen
- Travel between regional warehouses, approximately 5%
