Title:                            Sales Operations Analyst

Reports To:                  Manager, Sales Operations

​ As a Sales Operations Analyst, your essential job functions will include the following:

Reporting and Support

  • Interpret reports and assist sales staff and sales management in understanding underlying data and analysis.
  • Support the account maintenance process to ensure all information is accurate and available. 
  • Maintain & audit critical sales data through the appropriate IT systems and departments.
  • Manage assigned areas for reporting and analysis.
  • Internal end-user point of contact for ad hoc information requests. Assemble and distribute operational reports and performance metrics.
  • Support the automation of reporting, and the building of new metrics and dashboards.
  • Train new and current sales team members on use of data and systems.
  • Support the entire sales team with data questions and/or issues that need resolution.

Data Gathering & Analysis

  • Define the goals of analysis activities and coordinate the collection of appropriate data from databases. Understand and assess business situations from an information perspective.
  • Evaluate, improve, and build on existing information schemas. Work to make operations data accessible and useful across the sales team. 
  • Collaborate with sales team members to identify and pursue performance opportunities.

Recommendations & Implementation

  • Work collaboratively with members of the sales team to analyze data and possible implications - what's the situation mean & what to do.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of new capabilities.
  • Manage initiatives to enhance, improve or correct system functionality / performance within IT systems. 
  • Participate in the development and pilot of sales processes, approaches and methods to understand what works and help determine long term solutions to support the sales team
  • Help lead and facilitate group meetings, coordinate feedback, testing and promotion in support of projects

Other Duties as Assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Mathematics, statistics, economics or related field.
  • One to two years’ experience in Sales, Operations, Consulting, Marketing or related field preferred.
  •  Microsoft proficient with focus on Excel. Database, VBA and SQL, R experience a definite plus. Ability to work as a team player towards mutual goals
  • Well organized, self-starter who eagerly approaches new challenges and looks for opportunity
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal, verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrates problem solving, negotiating, sourcing, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tight deadlines and deliverables in rapidly changing business environment

Physical Job Requirements

  • Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Travel as necessary (<10%).
