Description

As a Strategic Service Lane Specialist – Nissan/Infiniti, your essential job functions will include the following:

Operational Management

  • Collaborate with Account Management on diagnosis, analysis, and action plans to improve dealership performance.
  • Conduct Service Lane marketing program reviews.
  • Analyze and identify training needs of the dealership staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies and tactics to assist dealerships with their Effective Selling Strategy.
  • Present findings and work with dealership management to gain support, change behavior, and drive results.
  • Quickly build relationships at all levels of the dealership (including Technicians) in order to implement change.
  • Communicate findings from analysis and diagnosis and deliver the dealership actions, challenges, and opportunities to Account Management.
  • Leverage Carline Specialists and other centralized resources, as needed.
  • Provide feedback and collaborate with the Account Manager – Nissan/Infiniti Service Lane, Service Operations Consultant, and other internal resources to drive performance.
  • Collaborate with the dealership to optimize merchandising components for all service lane products.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and share best practices across the team and the dealership network to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide information and collaborate with the Account Manager – Nissan/Infiniti Service Lane for development of detailed Action Plans.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers – Nissan/Infiniti Service Lane to meet sales and productivity goals across all products (Maintenance Advantage, Value Advantage & Original Equipment Products) for assigned dealerships.
  • Communicate to management as needed on dealership activity challenges.
  • Submit timely update reports, itineraries, and expense reports to management as required.
  • Manage all activity tracking and account information in the SMART system.

Operational Execution

  • Identify opportunities and provide recommendations on Nissan North America (NNA) marketing program utilization with regards to customer retention, acquisition, and product specifics.
  • Assess, reinforce and implement Service Lane processes and elements.
  • Understand and interpret dealer data in order to identify opportunities and determine action.
  • Drive service advisor effectiveness and overall retail strategies through coaching and training to maximize the business opportunity across all products.
  • Conduct market competitive shops and analysis to provide market competitive price information/positioning.
  • Develop product screen recommendation and determine implementation strategy to meet business objectives.
  • Perform complete inventory analysis and recommendation including order frequency, fill rate, space maximization, and phase in/phase out.
  • Provide feedback to the Account Managers – Nissan/Infiniti Service Lane, Service Manager, and Parts Manager regarding staff effectiveness and provide recommendations to assist with enhanced execution of all programs.
  • Utilize internal and external reporting portals to review performance, identify opportunities, and facilitate dealership meetings.
  • Determine any training needs and assist with scheduling and providing context.
  • For demonstration and training purposes, adequately perform the job requirements of a Service Lane Specialist on the service drive (as needed).
  • Work with dealership to establish retail pricing strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Understand Dealer compensation plans and effect on offering and selling of tires and service lane products.
  • Create & execute customized coaching solutions to improve dealership personnel performance across all areas.
  • Assist personnel with tools (DRSG) and capability to present tire and maintenance options to customers and sell conclusively on the drive - utilizing and explaining program value added items.
  • Demonstrate the value of a successful inspection process (including Op Codes, RO) and assist dealers in achieving success.
  • Perform the role of service advisor in support of increasing service lane sales - partner with advisors to help develop their sales skills.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail automotive operations, or equivalent experience in a related environment.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; highly adept at communicating with all levels within the dealership (technicians to dealer principal).
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a faced paced environment.
  • Proficiency at intermediate level with all Microsoft Office products required.
  • Meet the requirements of Dealer Tire’s Motor Vehicle Record Policy and Company Vehicle Fleet Policy.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Frequent bending, crouching, and twisting
  • Lifting at least 75 pounds
  • Travel required – approximately 90%
