As a Product Manager at Dealer Tire, you will obsess over users and their jobs to be done towards our mission of helping automotive dealers being better tire retailers. The Product Manager is responsible for managing product roadmaps, product lifecycles, and driving the success of a product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and launching successful products, a strong understanding of product development processes, and a passion for creating solutions that delight the user.

As a Product Manager, your essential job functions will include the following:

  • Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, UX Designers, Content Creators and others to ensure clear alignment on goals.

Strategic Development

  • Develop and communicate a clear product strategy that aligns with the company's goals and market needs.
  • Own the creation and evolution of the product roadmap with new, justifiable ideas to enhance existing functionality or introduce new features to maximize value to users and Dealer Tire.
  • Communicate product priorities and throughout the development process between a variety of internal teams across the company, using evidence-based decision making.
  • Understand Dealer Tire’s strategic and competitive position, and work to define and deliver the best products which maintain, shape, and improve that position.

Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis and research to identify user needs, market trends, competitor products and opportunities for product improvement, innovation, and expansion.
  • Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to ensure products satisfy user needs.

Product Lifecycle Ownership

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept and design to development, testing, and launch, through to end-of-life decisions.
  • Collaborate on the execution of product launches, including marketing strategies, sales enablement, and customer support to drive successful product adoption.
  • Continuously track and analyze product performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to make data-driven improvements.

Manage ROI

  • Manage and improve profitability of the product portfolio.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant years of work experience required, MBA a plus.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product roadmaps, prioritize features, and communicate the product vision effectively.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry
  • 3-5 years of experience developing digital products, technologies and platforms is required.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management, from concept to end-of-life.
  • Passion for innovation, user experience, and a drive to exceed customer expectations.
  • Exceptional written, presentation and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, even in the face of adversity.
  • Statistics background or strong skills in data analysis ROI, etc.
  • Demonstrated skills in gathering requirements, organizing resources, and schedule risk management.
  • Understanding of emerging technologies and media products, and the ability to quickly learn.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Travel as necessary, <25%.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The total compensation package may also include commission, bonus or profit sharing. We offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
