As a UI Designer, your essential job functions will include the following:

  • Build and maintain Design Systems consisting of style guides, component libraries, and pattern libraries.
  • Lead UI design of new features across product portfolio and contribute to the execution of UX.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers and development teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development teams.
  • Test/verify any lower environment and production instances of the designs.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
  • Stay current with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.  
  • Maintain a complete understanding of all applicable brand guidelines.
  • Ability to objectively critique and respond to critical feedback and make necessary revisions.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Fine Arts with a focus in design or related area, or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of UI design experience required
  • Demonstrated experience with Design Systems
  • Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Occasional bending and stooping.
  • Travel as necessary (< 10%).
