As a Marketing Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the seamless execution of marketing activities across various functions including marketing communications and promotions. Your essential job responsibilities will include the following:

Marketing Communication:

Communication Planning & Maintenance

  • Utilize the communication roadmap and contact strategies developed by the Marketing Manager to direct communication execution activities
  • Manage assets within the marketing automation platform, supporting proper naming conventions and organization
  • Collaborate with cross departmental teams to audit marketing communication materials on a quarterly basis and coordinate any necessary changes to ensure content is current and messaging is consistent across channels
  • Attend creative kick off meetings to stay informed on upcoming projects in the queue and associated deadlines
  • Stay informed and up to date on ongoing communication trends and competitor activities

Marketing Communication Execution

  • Serve as an in-house expert on Dealer Tire’s marketing automation platform and manage the execution of email marketing campaigns from the completion of creative through deployment:
    • Coordinate testing efforts using testing tools to view email rendering in different mail clients, browsers and on different devices
    • Work with the creative team to correct rendering issues to ensure a seamless end user experience
    • Proofread all emails for clarity, spelling and grammar
    • Use Marketing Automation Platform to query data from CRM system to define target audiences and unique segments for email campaigns 
    • Maintain best practices for list hygiene, privacy and opt-out standards
    • Trouble shoot list inconsistencies or abnormalities to ensure accuracy of resulting email lists
    • Set up and deploy A/B testing for subject lines, copy, or creative tests according to a testing roadmap to continually optimize the performance of the email channel Develop trigger based workflows within the Marketing Automation Platform for campaign automation  
    • Deploy email campaigns from Marketing Automation Platform
    • Monitor email deliverability reports and communicate notable issues to the Senior Manager
    • Gather email performance metrics for ad hoc and automated email series and provide insights to the Senior Manager for review and dissemination across the organization

Promotion Operations:

Manage promotional content displayed on dealer and consumer platforms

  • Collaborate with Brand Managers (BM) and General Managers (GM) on promotion planning and structure
  • Create accurate promotional content and maintain throughout the lifecycle
  • Collaborate with third party vendors when necessary
  • Facilitate reviews and approvals with internal customers (BMs/GMs) and incorporate feedback as necessary
  • Address all questions/ issues related to promotions and incentives
  • Complete regular audits of promotion and incentive content to ensure information is accurate

Efficiently and accurately close promotions and incentives

  • Process promotional claims and payout files accurately and efficiently
  • Review the claims/payout processes for enhancement opportunities to mitigate risk of manual intervention
  • Provide timely and accurate data to initiate the invoicing of parties who funded promotions
  • Processing and communicating winners of incentives
  • Collaborate with third party vendors when necessary

Participation in development and enhancement of promotion-related tools

  • Communicate enhancement opportunities for tools and processes
  • Contribute to requirement definition for enhancements to promotion management tools such as Campaign Manager, Teamwork and Service Perks
  • Evaluate the level of effort needed to maintain new features/functionality; minimize reliance on manual processes
  • Provide feedback to management around concerns related to direction of new enhancements or functionality being discussed

Other Duties as Assigned

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in email marketing/ digital marketing with knowledge of best practices and email law (CAN-SPAM)
  • Hands on experience with marketing automation tools (Pardot, Hub Spot, Marketo, Eloqua) and email testing tools (Email on Acid, Litmus)
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Basic HTML experience is a plus
