Title:                            Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist

                                   

Reports To:                  Manager of Talent Acquisition

As a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist, your essential job functions will include the following:

Recruiting/Sourcing

  • Responsible for sourcing, interviewing and delivering highly qualified candidates for critical positions/department(s), including Director level
  • Strategic partner to the business:  builds strong relationships with Partners, Directors and hiring managers in order to effectively manage their recruiting engagements; extremely knowledgeable about the business; strategic thinker -  anticipates needs
  • Consults with Dealer Tire’s management team on hiring practices, recruiting sources and human resource related topics to ensure the business objectives are met
  • Responsible for successfully facilitating the entire recruitment process (communications, recruiting strategy, counseling on behavioral interview process, offer negotiations, determining start date, etc.) with DT hiring managers
  • Responsible for managing the candidate (internal and external) through the entire recruitment process (sourcing/recruiting, communications, interviews, offer negotiations, etc.)
  • Effectively manages assigned associate referrals, ensuring the referrer and referee are communicated with throughout the process
  • Establishes recruiting sources through the internet, cold calling, and search firms
  • Manages search firm engagements, as necessary
  • Collaborates with team members within TA and assists on other recruitment projects as time permits
  • Identifies competitive threats, trends, and issues, and communicates to leadership
  • Continually surveys the market for competitive wage information and shares that information with the TA team
  • Meets established deadlines for filling positions
  • Manages compensation negotiating process for each position following Dealer Tire’s compensation guidelines
  • Develops and evaluates sourcing strategies to enable hiring goals and ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Utilizes applicant tracking system to track and manage the hiring process
  • Manages internal and external job postings
  • Attends networking events and utilizes social networking (i.e.: Linkedin)
  • Works with HR to identify and mitigate issues related to recruiting
  • Assists with high priority/visibility cross-functional projects
  • Performance of the Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist will be measured by:
  • Meeting and exceeding hiring expectations of assigned internal customers
  • Regularly surveyed client, candidate, applicant and new hire satisfaction results
  • Successful completion of assigned special projects

Reporting, Administration & Compliance

  • Manages administrative paperwork assigned to requisition and new hire or transferring associate; ensures accuracy and compliance with all paperwork requirements
  • Tracks and reports on openings and filled jobs, and communicates challenges in identifying successful candidates
  • Responsible for adhering to recruiting budget in travel and advertising areas

Employment Law

  • Understands Federal laws as they relate to hiring
  • Understands State laws in states where Dealer Tire conducts business

Company Policies

  • Thoroughly understands Dealer Tire handbook
  • Assists department in carrying out various HR programs and procedures as necessary

Miscellaneous Projects

  • Assists Manager of Talent Acquisition in creating and updating recruiting policies when deemed necessary
  • Mentors others on Talent Acquisition team
  • Participates in Workforce Planning projects

Other Duties as Assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years recruitment experience in high-volume, complex organization
  • Track record of exceeding customer expectations
  • Highly agile -  able to change direction and switch gears to address needs of customers
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required

Physical Job Requirements

  • Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Travel as required (<10%)
