As Marketing Insights and Analytics, your essential job functions will include the following:


  • Lead analysis on all marketing campaigns and promotions including loyalty and service drive initiatives, incentive trips, gift cards and contests.
  • Accountable for promotional effectiveness tracking and evaluation; provide results and recommendations to management.
  • Obtain and retain deep knowledge and understanding of all marketing data sources, including customer/sales data, OEM program brand share mix, key sizes and past promotion results.
  • Oversee maintenance and growth of promotions database and identify trends by promotions and by carline over time and establish baselines for promotional effectiveness.

Customer Insights & Ecommerce Analysis

  • Lead and manage all Google Analytics implementations across all web products
  • Oversee architecture and framework for tagging strategy
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative product and customer insights from Google Analytics data
  • Lead all analysis of B2C initiatives to drive towards financial, conversion and traffic goals and provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive the business.
  • Oversee OEM marketing agency integrations to support campaign efforts in driving traffic to the Online Tire Stores

Market Research and Monitoring

  • Manage internal team to deliver market insights and competitive monitoring.
  • Manage all research budgets.
  • Oversee execution of research projects and survey data.
  • Share and interpret data to senior level internal and external stakeholders.

Marketing Analysis and Team KPIs

  • Lead the development and creation of marketing team reports, identify most impactful KPIs across all areas of Marketing
  • Provide daily, monthly and/or quarterly updates on KPIs and work with the Marketing team to understand impact of marketing levers
  • Forecast product performance and promotional impact for the Marketing team strategic planning.
  • General assistance with analysis, presentations and/or data requests for direct to consumer initiatives within Marketing and other departments throughout Dealer Tire.
  • Act as the lead OBIEE SME and collaborate with IT on data and BI requirements to meet marketing needs.
  • Conduct data mining and customer segmentation to identify opportunities as needed.
  • Work with Program Management, Sales, Supplier Relations and other departments including OEM agencies as required.

Marketing Automation

  • Collaborate with marketing team stakeholders on identifying opportunities for programmatic business automation of manual data processes and workstreams to improve efficiencies within the department
  • Act as technical lead on projects to develop and deploy internal solutions
  • Lead maintenance and enhancement developed automation solutions as business needs evolve

Leadership, Mentoring, and Coaching

  • Lead, direct, and manage the daily activity of team members.
  • Motivate coach and counsel team members.
  • Complete a performance evaluation of each team member and recommend appropriate action such as promotions, counseling, and termination.
  • Critique, inspire, and lead innovative research & analysis that is effective to create a solid understanding and/or develop action.

Position Requirements

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or equivalent degree required
  • Minimum of 7 plus years of experience in analytics and sales/marketing insights
  • 2 plus years of experience manipulating and wrangling diverse data to enable analysis
  • 2 plus years of experience with OBIEE and Google Analytics
  • Experience with programming languages (Python and R, SQL)
  • Experience with SQL required; familiarity with the relational data model preferred
  • Knowledge and expertise with JIRA
  • Knowledge of data analysis and common statistical and analytical methods such as A/B testing, power analysis, and inferential statistics
  • Familiarity with marketing performance metrics (ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPC, CPM, etc.) required
  • Strong analytical and data management skills with the ability to visualize, articulate and solve complex problems and concepts and make decisions with limited information
  • Ability to ask the right questions and understand what analysis can produce insights to answer those questions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including data visualization
  • Data driven marketing insights, and ability to relate analysis to overall business picture

Physical Job Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
  • Travel as necessary, < 10%.
