As an Associate Web Engineer your essential job functions will include the following:

  • In the software stack you are responsible for: writing clean code, writing basic documentation, providing effective logging, navigating legacy code and minimizing repetitive work, following established standards, presenting and explaining code as well as identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
  • Basic understanding of relational database technology.
  • Basic understanding of web infrastructure.
  • Navigate legacy code in one of the following: Node.JS, Golang, ColdFusion/Lucee or Javascript.
  • Use browser based debugging tools.
  • Ability to learn new tools.
  • Answer to promoted code within your own team / technology stack.
  • Help to find problem origins and seek relevant resources.
  • Accept quick changes, manage competing deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Understand code dependencies within your technology stack.
  • Understand the core concept of all languages.
  • Meet deadlines on all project subtasks.
  • Understanding testing fundamentalsBe aware of and follow all of Dealer Tire's security standards.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience, preferably in design, development and documentation.

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Continuous viewing from and inputting data into a computer screen
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Travel as Necessary

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The total compensation package may also include commission, bonus or profit sharing. We offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
