As a Senior Financial Analyst, your essential job functions will include the following:

Company Financial Projects

  • Perform and present ad-hoc business issue analysis, which may entail building models and analysis tools.
  • Conduct and facilitate projects to completion with little or no management assistance, working cross-functionally at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Research ways to continuously improve current analytical practices and processes to help drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead various special projects as needed, working closely with functional leaders and presenting results to senior management.

Business Planning Process

  • Lead the development of key components of the company’s annual budget and quarterly forecast and assist in the creation of the long-range strategic plan.
  • Develop and maintain integrity of complex financial budgeting and forecasting tools and processes.
  • Develop projections and forecasts based on historical trends and current market information.
  • Assist in setup and maintenance of financial planning tools and systems.

Business Analysis and Results

  • Serve as part of an internal consulting organization, providing finance subject matter expertise, insight, and guidance to functional leaders.
  • Prepare various analyses, including analysis of sales, margin, expenses, cash flow and working capital.
  • Calculate and effectively analyze key indicators, including DSO, DPO and Inventory turns.
  • Support the preparation of reporting for the Board of Directors, Private Equity sponsor and management.
  • Support the preparation of Investor Relations presentations for quarterly earnings calls and conferences.

Position Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with concentration in finance or accounting.  MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of diverse financial experience with an emphasis in planning and analysis.  Industry preference would include automotive and consumer products distribution.
  • Advanced analytical skills coupled with a demonstrated ability to analyze and assimilate relevant data into key financial recommendations and decisions.
  • Solid understanding of a wide range of financial concepts and measures including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Return on Investment (ROI), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Return on Capital (ROCE/ROIC).
  • Ability to interpret and critically analyze financial statements, cash flows, and key financial ratios and metrics.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex business and financial issues.
  • Persuasive and articulate with strong written, verbal and presentation communications skills.
  • Comfortable and effective working with and teaching at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • High energy, results-oriented and self-starting leader.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level with MS Excel, and thorough working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with OBIEE, JD Edwards and OneStream (or other consolidation system) is a plus

Physical Job Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
  • Travel as required, <10%.
